Bio: John C. Gargani is the Vice President of Midstream Planning & Commercial Operations for Southwestern Energy Company. He is currently responsible for managing the budgeting, planning, business development, gas control and commercial operations functions for the Company’s Midstream segment. Gargani moved into this role in January 2010 after having served in the Company’s E&P segment for over 16 years, most recently as its Vice President, Economic Planning & Acquisitions.
Prior to joining Southwestern Energy Company in 1993, Gargani held various production and reservoir engineering positions with Conoco Inc. in its Midland Texas office. He has over 24 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Gargani is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, is a member of SPE, SPEE, AAPG, TIPRO, and IPAA and has previously served as chairman of the Gulf Coast Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He is an active member of the Natural Gas Vehicles Committee of the American Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) which promotes the increased domestic use of natural gas.
