The Essential Skills for Natural Gas: Scheduling 101 & 102 Technical Training Class is designed to give each participant a broad overview of the scheduling process for various commodities, with the particular focus being natural gas. Scheduling is the act of prioritizing valid nominations based on defined priority schemes when available capacity is not sufficient to meet all of the nominations requests. Participants will receive a comprehensive education on the scheduling process from start to finish, as well as the development of hints and habits to excel as a great scheduler.

The morning 101 session will concentrate on the basics of scheduling including the function, trading shop set-up, information flow and terminology as well as an in-depth study of the role of the scheduler and daily activities. The afternoon 102 session will cover maps and regions, types of deals, nomination cycles, allocations, make-up and imbalances and the trading impact on scheduling.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Any employee in the natural gas industry, such as traders, contract administrators, pricing analysts, dispatchers, accountants, budget and planning analysts, information systems personnel and schedulers. Course Level Basic - there are no prerequisites required.
